About the Baraboo Area Literacy Council
(BALC)
(BALC):
Thank
you for requesting a tutor to help you to speak English or
to read. There will be no cost to you unless you wish to
buy materials. Since all tutors are volunteers, at times we
have a shortage of tutors. If we have no tutor available at
the time you register, we will put you on a waiting list.
As soon as a tutor becomes available, we will call you to
see if you are still interested. We will try our best, but
you may need to wait for a few weeks or months before a
tutor can be found for you
Gracias
Expectations
of BALC for prospective students /Expectativas del BALC
para los estudiantes:
When
you start meeting with your tutor, it is very important for
you to come to classes regularly and to come on time. If
you have to miss a lesson or you know you will be late
you
must call your tutor
and let them know, as early as possible. If you often come
late or do not appear at all, without letting your tutor
know or with no good reason, you will lose your tutor and
your name will be moved to the bottom of the waiting list.
